Guinea Pigs

Unfortunately we had to euthanize Lucky in January 2024 because of a serious guts problem. Pauli became part of the family. He was born in March 2023 and learns from Billy how things work here.

Sammy had to undergo a surgery in September 2021. Unfortunately, the narcosis was fatal. Billy joined the family and helps Lucky to overcome his grief.

Jerry was suffering from a bladder cancer and passed away in May 2020. Again, we found a new friend for Sammy: Lucky (Luke)

Molly left us unexpectedly after 2 months while we were on vacation. Fortunately, we quickly found a new friend for Sammy: Jerry

Emil suddenly died in January 2017. It was the first time that we had a lady guinea pig: Molly

Oscar had to leave us in December 2015 after almost 7 years. So, Sammy joined the family

The two liked each other from the beginning.

Vincenz passed away in October 2011 after a short but heavy sickness. Emil is the new companion of Oscar.

After a year Oscar became a full grown guinea pig (2010).

Unfortunately, Louis had cancer and needed to undergo a surgery in March 2009 from which he did not recover. So, we have Oscar as the new member of the family.

Vincenz was a funny guy.

Zottel died due to a toxication in Sept. 2007 and Louis was very lonesome. Thus we had to look quickly for a new companion: Vincenz

His hair grows and grows.

Louis was just grown up when Fred died in May 2005. This is a picture of Louis and Zottel when they met first.

Unfortunately, Barney died relatively early in February 2005. So, Fred needed a new friend: Louis.

Barney was quicker than Fred and smaller at the beginning. After a while he became the dominant buck.

Fred was a real beauty but also pretty well-fortified.

The whole thing started in 2004 with two guys: Fred and Barney (who was originally named Timo).
